Great PDA
Ive played with this little baby for a while, and I have to say, Im impressed, great screen, sound and speed. Admittedly the memory is a bit lacking, but add the price of a 32mb MMC card, and it is still less expensive than the comparable iPAQ 36xx and E-125, MMC Memory is great for running games or apps from, I run Doom4CE from my memory card with no problems. If you are going to need to use things like network cards and 1 gb microdrives, buy an E-125 or something. OK, the EM-500 may not be Ideal for the mobile proffesional, because of the lack of expansion slots, but its not aimed at them. Overall, its a godsend (but factor in getting at least a 32mb memory card).

Good for school
I just got one of these and I think its great. loads of features and a great screen. The multimedia aspect of it impressed me, especialy as I was using a palm III before and it was so restricted in terms of multimedia(It could only display the simplest of B&W pics) and the screen was difficult to see even in good light. The only problem I found was the lack of memory, I like to keep all of my school work(loads of 3000 word essays), lot of web pages, music and a few(big) games this really runs away with the memory, no problem though you can always buy a Multimedia card to boost the memory which I am curently saving up to buy....

Casio Em-500
I have used the Em-500 for a couple of weeks, and I must say its a good pda! It has a great screen, it recognises my handwriting, and I can make the special Danish charters. Im using it in school, to take notes on, and as a calendar. It works fine, the build-in calendar is easy to use. But sometimes you do get reminded that it is a windows-based os. In 2 weeks, I have had to use the reset button twice, but that was within the first week, and all this week there has been no problems. The synchronisation works perfect with my PC, and when I come home from school, I just put the em-500 in the craddle, and it exchanges the newest documents. The only bad thing I have about this product is lack of memory. 16MB isnt enough. But then again, you can always bye a MultiMediaCard with 64 Mb....
